German cockroach, Blattella germanica
German cockroach adults normally reach 10-15mm in length and are yellow/brown with two longitudinal dark marks on the pronotum. Their wings cover the whole length of back.
They usually hide during the day and stay in a localised area, however, when overcrowding becomes a problem they will move on in small groups.
Capable of climbing smooth and rough surfaces the Blattella germanica is invariably found in kitchens & bathrooms. Germanica carry their egg cases until nymphs are nearly ready to hatch at which point they are dropped. The nymphs then normally hatch within 24hrs.
